St. John’s Lenten Service Project
Please join your St. John’s Parish Family as we embark on St. John’s Lenten Service Project 2024 to help those in need. We have teamed with the International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) to make Hygiene Kits to be sent to those in need throughout the world. Our goal is to make 300 kits for this project. Please view our St. John’s Health/Hygiene Kits Project web page to donate and to see all the fundraisers planned to support our effort.
To do so, we need to raise $6,000 by May 25th. The cost for each kit, including the items, packing, and shipping is approximately $20 per kit.
Donations may be made online at www.stjohnd.org/service-project or make checks payable to the Church of St. John of Damascus and include Hygiene Kits in the memo.
To date, we have raised $5,362 or 89% towards our goal.
We will assemble the kits at St. John’s on Sunday, June 2nd after Liturgy. If you would like to volunteer, kindly contact Cindy Haddad at haddad42@me.com or contact the church office at churchoffice@stjohnd.org.
IOCC, in the spirit of Christ’s love, offers emergency relief and development programs to those in need worldwide, without discrimination, and strengthens the capacity of the Orthodox Church to so respond.
