Greeters are at the front lines of parish evangelism. While our Outreach Ministry works to reach out to inactive members as well as invite prospective members to our parish, the job of the Greeters Ministry is to greet all who attend Liturgy each Sunday. We want everyone who comes to St. John's to feel welcomed and loved.

The Greeters Ministry consists of Greeters, Ushers and all our Church Organizations. They all play a vital role in the greeting process. But the Ministry is not limited to these groups. It involves ALL St. John's Parishioners.

It is our obligation as representatives of Jesus Christ to greet His people as they gather to worship. We all need to reach out to our visitors and our fellow parishioners and greet them as Jesus would greet them, with love and care.

Members of the Executive Board will serve as ushers each month, along with a permanent head usher. However, we are always looking for new greeters.

We are looking for those parishioners of St. John's who:

• are friendly, warm and welcoming individuals
• attend liturgy on a regular basis
• for the most part, know our parishioners and can identify visitors to our church
• are eager to help service our visitors, guide and answer questions they may have
• understand general information about our Orthodox faith
• can provide visitors with literature and other information as needed
• just generally likes to meet new people

We are firmly committed to a successful Greeters Ministry at St. John's. But we cannot do it alone. We need everyone at St. John's to be involved in making everyone feel welcome to our parish.
